About Truth Ignited

cropped-fire-of-torah.jpgTruth Ignited is the ministry of Tom Steele. A 2003 honor graduate of World Harvest Bible College (now Valor Christian College), Tom has studied sitting under the ministry of Pastor Rod Parsley since 2001 and holds ministry credentials through the City Harvest Network.

Through this experience Tom has not only strengthened his knowledge of the Gospel message of salvation through Yeshua HaMashiach (the Lord Jesus Christ), but also the application of the Tanahk (Torah, Writings and Prophets known as the Old Testament) to the life of the New Testament Believer.

  1. I’m not on facebook but would like to follow your blog, can I subscribe by email? I’m having a debate with my family regarding consuming pork. I don’t think we should but they say we can because of Christ.

      1. Just found your site. I am so enthralled by it all . I have been a believer for 27 years .after being instantly healed from M. E . I joined local church. For a few months . From nowhere I learnt about Hebraic roots came out of church .and studied ever since . Everything you teach is what I know to be fact and truth. Please don’t ever give up this teaching it is all I believe and practice. I’m completely alone no one else understands or is interested . Bless you for work it is brilliant . I love yeshua and keep all the sabbaths festivals etc. . He grafted us into the vine we are Hebrew if we believe in Him as we are His Bride . I just thank YHVH For you and your work.

  2. I like your teachings
But can you explain this part the command God gave Noach
Genesis 9 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

9 God blessed Noach and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply and fill the earth. 2 The fear and dread of you will be upon every wild animal, every bird in the air, every creature populating the ground, and all the fish in the sea; they have been handed over to you. 3 Every moving thing that lives will be food for you; just as I gave you green plants before, so now I give you everything — 4 only flesh with its life, which is its blood, you are not to eat.

    1. Genesis 9 is discussed in several blogs. There is a blog specifically on the story of Noah as well as some of the biblical health blogs. If you can’t find the answer you are looking for I will be glad to comment further or use it to develop a new blog at some point. Blessings and Shalom friend.

  3. Greetings Tom
This is a wonderful website with plenty of truth, however if you carried out a deep research into Yahweh’s calendar and feast days, especially the Wave Sheaf, and the Passover weekend you will find that the true seventh day Sabbath is determined by the Sun and Moon and there is a third category of day, that is the New moon. Jews today do not have the truth, their year is about 211 years out and they were forced to relinquish their true Sabbath rest some 1700 years ago. Further they move the Day of Atonement around to suit the Saturday Sabbath when it is commanded to happen on the 10th day of the seventh month, on a Lunar Solar Calendar. There is a lot more that can be said but not in this short space.

    1. Hello. Truth Ignited Ministry does not engage in controversial theories about things like calendars. I appreciate your passion and personal convictions. However, it is the stance of this ministry that the commandments of Yahweh are meant to be easy (Deuteronomy 30:11-14), not burdensome (1 John 5:3). I believe that it is best to keep the Feasts of Yahweh in a way that allows people to not be burdened, yet that is what most calendar theories do is burden the people. So, perhaps, on this matter we will have to agree to desagree.

  4. Well I saw your request in joining. I was surprised in how you learned about me?
Well in being lonely in what I believe I am able to contact those on Facebook or on MeWe which now I am a member. The different perspectives I have read regarding the name of the Father/ Son has been intense. In partial reading I see the name of Yeshua has been used in one of your post so may I ask the name of the Father? Been of different opinions of the subject it has been stressful in obedience regarding the Sabbath or the feasts. A friend of mine will be starting in getting in the book of Matthew in studying together that is one book one can not deny of its references of the OT.

    1. Hi Cedric. I am not sure what you mean by “finding you”. Maybe one time you signed up or maybe someone else added you to one of my contact lists at some point? Either way, as far as the name goes it is well established by any actual experts in Hebrew and other ancient Semitic languages that Messiah’s name is rendered “Yeshua” in English. As for The Father, this is a little more debated but again all credible experts seem to lean toward “Yahweh” with some leaning to “Yehovah”. Other than that any other “sacred names” people have come up with appear to be baseless, though it is sometimes the case where people are simply genuinely trying to call The Father by His name and have sought to figure out something that may be completely lost to history until He fully reveals Himself by name again. I do have an article posted that goes into more detail about this. However, there is a shortened form of The Father’s name, “Yah”, that is used over 60 times in Scripture and is not debated by pretty much anyone, so some have taken the position that we should just use that form because we know it is correct. There is a lot of wisdom to such an approach, so while I lean toward “Yahweh” being the correct full name, I have also started leaning a lot more toward the use of the shortened form of “Yah” and plan to use this more frequently in my teachings going forward.
